Ta-da!! It's my 50th post!!

My Birthday is lasting THE longest time ever!! celebrations continue tonight as me and Pete are off to see Beverley Knight in Hammersmith!! She is one fierce diva! am sure she will put on a great show.

My dear brother bought me the "20th Anniversary of the Oprah Winfrey Show" DVD for my birthday and i cannot stop watching it! So many celebrity moments and tearful confessions, it really is perfect for a lazy day in. Just get some chocolate and some tissues and start that weeping.

Oliver's lovely family got me a ticket to see Justin Timberlake next July. I went to see him on his last tour and he was amazing. His new album is one of my fave's of the year, Move over Michael Jackson!!

I stopped smoking this week, after many failed attempts to quit i decided that turning 30 and still being a smoker was just not for me. I have been reading the Allen Carr book and it seems to be working, It is a major struggle though - so anyone who is reading this and knows me, please do what you can to help me get through this. I finished reading Allen Carr today, i get to work to find out he has died from Lung cancer! He did use to smoke 100 a day though!!

I went to the Soho Revue Bar on sunday night, again i cant recommend this place enough, They had a fantastic comedienne on called Alyssa Kyria. She is a character comic and was playing her version of a high society greek footballers wife. Her routine was one of the best i have seen in a long time - her comments on Madonna's African Baby, Heather "pay my bills" Mcartney and Jordan were spot on. Keep your eyes peeled for this act and get down to the Soho Revue Bar on a sunday night - it is well worth it!

Well i better get off girlfriends to see how Miss Knight shoulda woulda coulda.

Abusing myself!!

Well hello people! I am alive!! well barely - according to my friend Camilla i am so pale today my skin is translucent!! I do have good reason after the party on saturday! It went sooo well, The day itself was very stressful - just making sure that people knew where they were going and the dj was all set. It was a fantastic night and everyone made such a massive effort. So to all those in attendance thankyou so much!!

Click on this link to see just how fabulous people were

http://www.flickr.com/photos/ithinkiloveyou/

Our speeches went really well, Oliver's was really funny and mine seemed to last about an hour!! Special thanks go to everyone who travelled from Sheffield, all my beautiful London friends especially clare, glenn, dan, mike, ali, tony, anna, james, camilla, bobby, ruth, dave, zoe, ruth, harry, sherie and not to be forgotten again!! My truly wonderful mates Pete and Kaz who have supported me loads in the last few years, Love you both so much. Lets just dance through it girls!!

Of course i thank Oliver for being such a good friend for the last .... years, we have such a laugh together, you totally get me and that takes some doing!! Its just a shame that people are so jealous of us for being so popular! Love ya honey and thanks for making saturday night such a fab one!

So did people watch the Madonna concert on sunday night?? Talking to people who didn't get to see the show live, they are all saying they would have paid the full ticket price and then some after seeing that!! It was a great show, She makes the rest of todays chart acts look like amateurs!

Right i better get on with being 30!

Take care my lovelies

Let's get this party started!!

Well my lil disco bitches! This weekend is THE party!! I have just bought my glad rags and am all set to wow the masses. Had to make a mad dash to Oxford Street on my lunch hour. That street is always a nightmare with frikkin tourists blockin my way but a month before xmas its like "hell no!". I swear you have to have done time to get what you want in those shops but i managed it like a true pro ho!

I watched "The World Music Awards" last night - oh my god!! it was painful - Lindsay Lohan was attempting to host it but could not read the autocue. They actually let Katie Melua perform!! They obviously didnt have enough acts as they kept wheeling Beyonce out, James Blunt didn't even bother turning up and as for Michael Jackson - well that was just wrong, you could really hear the crowd booing, he just kept saying "I love you too" - not sure who he was listening to.

Channel 4 are showing Madonna's "Confessions tour" on sunday night and i urge anyone who was not lucky enoughto see the show to get your dancing shoes on and watch it, The show is truly amazing, despite all the fuss about Madonna in the press recently, no one can dispute the fact that she is a fantastic live performer. So check it out!

The party is tomorrow night and i am both excited and anxious, just the usual party jitters, will people turn up? will the dj be ok? will everyones hotels be sorted? will my speech go well? Obviously a full report will be appearing next week and the beautiful Dan will be taking lots of photos which will be online very soon.

Now just cos it's the party tomorrow dont think that i have forgotten that it is friday and what does that mean?? yes of course its....

THE IMAGINARY MEN OF PIPPY'S BOUDOIR

I am not ashamed to say that during my lengthy period of teenage angst there were 3 programmes that helped me through! I think if i watched them now i would probably laugh til a little bit of pee came out. There were many reasons why i loved these programmes but mainly i doted on a man in each one of them - the first show was called "My So Called Life" and featured a very young Clare Danes but it also featured the cheekbone gifted lush also known as Jared Leto

The next beauty is from a show called "party of five", now probably better known as Dr. Jack in "Lost" - the painfully beautiful Matthew Fox

and finally from the ridiculously funny and over dramatic "Dawsons Creek" - their stunning gay character played by Kerr Smith

Ooh i am getting filthy gorgeous and greedy on fridays but if you would take the time to look at my face you would realise that i aint bovvered!

Be fierce girlfriends and i shall fill you in with my gossip juice soon!

Light Hearted Banter?

I am so gay!! Yes i can say that because i am attracted to men and therefore am gay. The rather recent trend of labelling anything that is broken, rubbish, effeminate or tacky as "gay" is getting out of control. Chris Moyles, Rio Ferdinand and even the darlings of the gay scene Take That have been in the media recently for using the word "gay" as a slur, Rio Ferdinand went a step further and used the word "faggot" live on radio 1 - of course complaints were made and here is what the BBC said about the Rio Ferdinand incident

"We sincerely apologise for the inappropriate comment that was made during some light-hearted banter between Chris Moyles and Rio Ferdinand on 2October"

An institution as powerful as the BBC has a real opportunity to stand up for diversity, equality and gay rights but instead keeps releasing these pissy little statements that mean nothing.

I do a lot of work with young people and schools and the term "gay" is used in an offensive way more than any other insult. Top marks to the BBC for letting the children and young people of today think that is acceptable. I pity the young gay men trying to get an education these days when their days are marred by constant negative remarks about a sexuality that they have yet to come to terms with.

The usual response when people are challenged about their use of the word "gay" will be that they dont mean it like that, its just a saying! Well if it offends me its not just a saying - its offensive and i am not the only one who is offended by it. If people could be a little bit more imaginative and educated with their terminology i would be a very happy man.

Next time you hear someone use the word "gay" in a negative way, try challenging them, dont just stand there and let their oxygen thieving ignorance get the better of you.

Right folks i am going to hop off the soapbox and tomorrow will be back to being superficial and dizzy

I'm in love!!!!

with my ipod!! oh it's the gift that keeps on giving, it never answers back, it fits in my pocket and it lets me play Madonna whenever i like! Seriously though having this beautiful little machine has madse life so much simpler and lighter weight wise!! Carrying around my cd wallet everywhere was playing havoc with my shoulders!

Well it's only a few days to go to the party and everything seems to be going according to plan. I am meeting up with Oliver tomorrow to go through everything, still got some shopping to do and saturday is going to be a mad dash round no doubt but it shall all be worth it.

I am still addicted to "I'm a celebrity get me out of here". Scott Henshall is turning me homophobic, his pathetic first attempt at a trial was bad enough but then getting into a playground style fight with that fierce girl Phina was just jaw droppingly embarassing. Pretty much everytime a gay man is represented on reality tv it seems to be a total screamer!! I totally and proudly admit to being a screamer on a grand scale but lets have some variety please.

I was lecturting this morning at university. I know it may be hard to believe that mr shallow celebrity obsessed boy would end up doing that. It is hard for me to believe - i never went to uni, the closest i got was working behind the bar! I have to admit it was a moment of pride in myself, i cant believe this is happening, my work is going so well and i love what i am doing. Things are slightly slowing down in the run up to the Xmas break which is just what i need.

I have been quite tired recently thanks to BBC2 repeating the entire run of "This Life" at 11.30 every night!! It does bring back great memories of watching it years ago and it has aged very gracefully. BBC2 are showing this in the run up to a xmas special where the cast will reunite! I am wet with anticipation!

anyway folks, must get on

The weekend at last!!

God what a piggin fucker of a week!! I am have been so busy!! I need my weekend to start now-ish!! Its also been great in many respects, Beautiful Emma gave birth and having seen pics of the baby i can say that he is beautfiful!!! I passed my assessment for the Lesbian and Gay Switchboard and i have had lots of really great feedback about my work.

Went for a few deserved beers last night but managed to get home in time for "I'm a celebrity!" I have not laughed so much in a long time - Dean "face like a greyhound on its last legs" Gaffney has entered the jungle and had to do a trial which was the usual bug bite fest but he was such a drama queen! I guess it is quite scary being out of chinawhites.

Also in the news this week, Michael "Let me loose with my jesus juice" Jackson was due to perform at the World Music Awards in London, The fans were promised a full re-enactment of the "Thriller" video and all they got was tupperware face squeaking a few lines into the mic before being booed off! Not so much a comeback as a COME BACK!!! u aint finished!!

Now folks last night i also watched "Never mind the Buzzcocks" and Amy "i always look like i have drunk a" Winehouse was on and she was actually very funny, I never said she wasn't funny i just said she looked like she stank. The host of the show, Simon Amstell suggested that instead of doing a duet with Pete Doherty maybe Amy should go for the more whole some route and work with Katie Melua. Amy's response to this suggestion?

"I would rather get cat AIDS"

Made me laugh anyway!!

THE IMAGINARY MEN OF PIPPY'S BOUDOIR

I know that last weeks was slightly delayed but i aint changing my schedule so here is today's instalment. I rather spoilt myself with the last selection but todays lucky lucky winner of some pippy lovin is.....

The lovely huge hugh jackman!! I usually hate films like X-Men but this man has turned me!! and he can sing and dance and loves musicals - his wife needs to get with the programme and just release him to the gays!!
have fab weekends darlings

Been waiting long?

Oh my poor little lovelies, the guilt of denying you my rants over the last few days has been eating me up!! I have been a very busy boy both with work and celebrating my birthday. Well I turned 30 on Friday and had a really lovely lazy day. Oliver popped round at lunch to give me some pressies – very gay pressies indeed let’s just say that Madonna and Liza were involved!! Cheers honey! Loads of my friends had put together to get me the one thing that can really change my life and give me a sense of control in a world of chaos – yes I am finally an ipod owner!! So thanks to everyone who put their hard earned cash into making my day!!

Late afternoon I popped into town and met up with Oliver and loads of other gorgeous lovelies in Trash Palace for many many drinks and more lush pressies. The Extras dvd will keep me laughing for a long time so cheers guys, big thanks to Pete who is taking me to see the wailing diva that is Miss Beverley Knight!!

Now since my birthday fell on a friday it’s now time for a very special

THE IMAGINARY MEN OF PIPPY’S BOUDOIR

It can’t have escaped anyones notive that Bond is back! I like most people had my doubts about Daniel Craig. In my eyes no one can beat Sean Connery but apprently Mr.Craig has surpassed himself and I think this pic just proves my point

Blimey! I don’t care if you are Gay, Straight or Australian that is hot!!

As I said no one can beat Sean Connery, Check this out – simply smouldering!

Since it’s my birthday I think I am going to be a greedy guzzler, many of you will know the great actor James Caan, well his son is so dreamy it hurts, he has been in quite a few films and I always seem to end up dribbling into a beaker whenever I see him! It's the man with the arms Scott Caan

Its got to the point now where people are recommending men to be placed delicately into my boudoir for a good seeing to, So thanks to Mike for drawing my attention to the rough and ready Jason Statham, hubba hubba!!

And last but not least a young man who is a shining example of my rather wide ranging taste in men, I do love men who look like they might kill me but I also love the cheeky indie chappy look and since this guy has just entered the jungle on “I’m a celebrity” I thought he deserved a little man on man action pippy style. It’s the lovely “if he had unlimited access to clearasil” Matt Willis.
Phew!! i am really quite tired after that lot!! and my knees are killing me!!

So on to Saturday – with a slight hangover I dragged my ass on the train to Sheffield and has a very surreal experience - this fabulous woman got on my carriage, she looked amazing with a power suit and fuck me heels but then she placed her hand in her bag, pulled out a carton of milk and proceeded to down the entire thing!! I dont mind that in the privacy of your own kitchen but girlfriend! not on a train - thats just tacky.

I finally got to Sheffield and had a lovely night in with my girls (Dan, Matt, Danny, Dee Dee and Aiden)!! Thanks for making my night so drunken and full of laughs.

Sunday I went to see my ma and pa in the back of beyond and had a lovely home cooked roast dinner and flopped on the sofa for a night of tv, which actually did me the world of good and I had the best nights sleep ever!!

Breaking news!!!....My gorgeous, wonderful friend Emma gave birth on Sunday morning to little Stanley, well I say little he was actually 11lb!!! that is one big baby, Hats off and congrats to Emma and Tim. I cannot wait to see all 3 of ya and start my role as unofficial uncle!

I stayed at Dan and Matt’s again on Monday night and Danny came round to watch the 1st night of “I’m a celebrity” – it was quite entertaining but why oh why does the show have to be sponsored by Iceland??? Everytime the adverts came on Kerry “My mimsy is like a tardis and i am famous for no reason apart from shafting some munter from westlife and spending all the divorce cash on a coke habit that even Daniella Westbrook would say no to” Katona was there telling the same shit joke in her asbo ridden accent!

I am getting assessed tonight to see if I am good enough to hit the phones for the Lesbian and Gay Switchboard so fingers crossed people!!

Finally thanks again to everyone who made my birthday so great, the party is a week on Saturday and I can’t wait!! So get your glad rags sorted people!! It’s going to be a night to remember.

Love ya!!

Reflecting Back

I turn 30 tomorrow and as with any other year i am feeling reflective. Every year since the age of 16 something significant has happened. I turned 16 in 1993 and i "came out" to my friends and family. In 1994 i joined a gay youth group and started voluntary youth work. In 1995 i started training as a youth worker. In 1996 I moved out of my parent's house. In 1997 i got into my 1st "long term" relationship. In 1998 I got my 1st well paid job and organised a massive gay youth conference. In 1999 another relationship and more career highs!

In 2000 i left Sheffield and moved to Leicester for a full time gay men's health job. In 2001 i got into my most serious relationsip to date. In 2002 i got a new job and moved to London. In 2003 the relationship ended and i got my current job. In 2004 as part of my work i launched a website and moved to South London. In 2005 i went to Australia for a month and my career continued to get better.

This year has been a strange one, simply because not a huge amount has happened. Work is fantastic and i am really being recognised for all the work that's happened over the years. On the relationship front, it's all been a bit of a non starter. I am not moaning and i am not ungrateful. I have the best friends anyone could wish for, friends that love me, friends that support me and are always there for me. Also this year my dear friend Emma got pregnant. I will have a child in my life and i am ecstatic about it.

I have had so much fun this year. A bit too much fun some might say. A year of partying, late nights and good laughs. I dont know what the next year holds - whether it will be love, a change of job or home but i know for sure, i will dance, i will laugh and have great times with my amazing friends.

Now that's what i call a party!!!

Well folks the party is over and my heels have been stored away. It was such a good night!! Everyone made such a great effort. I have to say thanks to my posse of friends Oliver, Clare, Glenn, Tony, Anna and Camilla for rocking up on the night.

My Kylie outfit worked a treat and thanks to Jo doing my make up i actually looked pretty good. The shoes were not as much of a nightmare as i thought they would be and i only managed to fall over once, right at the end of the night - thankfully onto a pile of coats! Although i did manage to take a chair and Slash from Guns 'n' Roses down with me!

Pete looked amazing as Boy George and he had the night of his life!! The Madonna Twins performance seriously blew the roof off and a big up to my partner in crime Kaz - we did it girl!!

The wonderful Dan took some great pics on the night - check them out

http://www.flickr.com/photos/ithinkiloveyou/

I cant believe its all over!! Pete treated me , kaz and jo to a gorge night in the Caesar Hotel on sunday with wine and madonna dvds a plenty!! it really ended the weekend perfectly, Cheers girl!

Ah well - only a couple of weeks to go to mine and olivers fab 30th. Really looking forward to it and it sounds like loads of people are coming!! I need to get my outfit sorted soon!!

I cant mention the weekend without talking about my mate Chris' bands (The Sniffle Brothers) "Get Down" gig in Waterloo on friday night. It was the busiest one yet with some great acts and free cd's and t shirts to boot!!

More info about future events and all things Sniffle Brothers here!

Well folks i shall be uploading more pics from the party as i get them. So keep your eyes peeled.

Barking should just be for dogs!!

Well people last night i met up with Oliver and found out that my surprise night out was to be a night in the company of one of my favourite comedians at the moment - the hilarious Alan Carr

Alan was performing the only London date of his UK tour in Barking at the Broadway Theatre. It was a fantastic night, the support act who was a guy called John Richardson was fantastic and Alan brought the house down with his tales of LIDL, bullying and his neighbour "scally karen". Alan had obviously had a bit of time during the day to have a wander round Barking as he mentioned the fact that there was a shop on the high street called "L F U K", we thought he was joking but on our way back to the station there it was!! Barking was not a nice place. Rome was not built in a day but Barking was rushed up during a tea break! Thanks to Oliver for a hilarious night out!!

I cannot believe it's Petes party tomorrow night, It feels like we have been preparing for it for an age and now its here!! and i still aint got all my outfit!! I am going to have to venture into central london tomorrow - its madness!! Oxford Street on a saturday afternoon - you will probably see my face on the news tomorrow night accopmpanied by a newsreader saying "and then he took his own life!"

I will probably be comatose for the majority of the weekend so i doubt there will be a blog update til next week but oh what a blog it will be - there may even be some pics from the party to show!

As you are aware it's friday and that means that it has to be time for

The Imaginary Men Of Pippy's Boudoir!!

Todays award goes to a guy who has slipped through the net every week so far on the blog but today i have managed to grasp his quivering loins and fling him onto the net for your dribble riddled enjoyment. He won big last night at the MTV European Music Awards, His talent is immense, His voice unbelievable and the rest just speaks for itself. It is of course Mr. Justin Timberlake!!

I have never committed a crime in my life (well i aint never been caught anyway) but boy that man could definitely persuade me to be a receiver of swollen goods!

Right i am off to catch the last train to cocksville

Party hard people!!

Yeah yeah yeah it's about Madonna again!

So anyone watch Newsnight last night? Thought it was a good interview and Madonna came across really well. She was very clear and addressed all the concerns around the adoption. However, then it was back to the studio where Paxman interviewed Duncan Ballantyne who proceeded to rip Madonna to pieces. He calimed that Madonna's adopted baby boy was merely a fashion accessory. I just dont understand why people are so down on a woman who has set up a foundation "Raising Malawi, who funds 6 orphanages, is setting up another orphanage in the village of Lilongwe for 4000 orphans and is donating £3 Million in Aid. What a bitch!!

I wonder what would happen if a high profile charity like Comic Relief asked that for one day a year all profits made by British newpapers would be donated to charity, One day out of 365. The media have been so quick to criticise Madonna on this and they did the same to Robbie Williams for his work with Unicef last year. What exactly do the media do for charity? If anyone can tell me i would be happy to hear it.

I am off out tonight for a early birthday surprise courtesy of Oliver. I shall let you have all the details tomorrow. This weekend is going to be CRAZY, my parents + aunty + grandma are coming through London tomorrow lunchtime on their way to Brighton to stay with my brother. I should get a chance to meet them for coffee at lunch and then it's off to Kaz's with a bag the same size as me, filled with heels, wigs, hotpants and attitude for a dress rehearsal.

Tomorrow night it's my mate Chris' bands "Get on down" night in Waterloo, a night of fun ,frolic and fruit winning - http://www.snifflerecords.co.uk/getondown.html

Obviously Saturday is party day at last!! Pete's 40th!!! Mash up!! I'm so excited i could just spit!!

Tune in tomorrow for the big reveal of what i got up to tonight! The Imaginary Men Of Pippy's Boudoir and the usual mutterings and rants about celebs and mens genitalia

ps - my blog has made it at last, follow the link and scroll down!

I may not be that tall bitch but with heels, hair and attitude i am through the roof!!!

I have totally nicked this fab quote from the wonderful drag diva RuPaul! I was at home last night practising walking in my heels cos that's what my life is about this week for those of you who are not going to get the chance to see them - i have included the pic below, just imagine these shoes but gold!!!

They are killers, God please let me get through this party without breaking every bone in my body and i promise i will stop all this silly gay stuff!

In the celebrity obsessed world that i reside in there is nothing quite as exciting as an awards show, Its brings together all my favourite things - gorgeous gowns, awful gowns, embrassing acceptance speeches and for the most part deserved winners. However, flicking through the Metro today i found out who won at last nights National TV Awards and i felt like screaming "why???why???" That stupid fuckin retard screaming stick bitch Nikki from Big Brother won an award!! What for? Annoying the ass off me? Proving to be the worst role model a young woman could have? being totally deluded? hogging the pages of MY Heat Magazine for far too many weeks? I HATE HER!! and now she is a frickin award winner, why didnt they just pull some screaming little brat off the street and ram an award in her face - oh yeah, thats what they actually did! Hateful!

Now onto George Michael - I watched the "South Bank Show" last night and actually thought he came across quite well, He seems really happy and content with the way his career and life are going. He has ensured that he is in a position where the rest of his recording output will benefit charity and seems to be rising above the hideous media misrepresentation of his life. Its just a shame that the Metro this morning held a different view (i know its just the metro but loads of people read it) they began with quite a good review but ended by saying that George and Melvyn Bragg were getting on far too well and should get to a toilet cubicle! Is that really the best you could come up with you pathetic homophobic twats!

Madonna is going to be interviewed by Kirsty Wark on Newsnight tonight to discuss the adoption. I saw Kirsty interview George Michael last week and she was great and asked really original questions. Lets hope we see the same insight with our gracious leader tonight.

I am feeling very excited this week, my dear dear lovely friend Emma's baby is due on friday, Emma is the 1st one of my closest mates to have a child so it's all quite new but i cannot wait to see him!!

Anyway my lovely lovelies it's wednesday we are reaching the halfway point so keep your chins up and your bums flexed!
