Ah BBC with all these changes in policy you are confusing me!! They have announced that they will now play the uncensroed version of "Fairytale of New York" with the station controller Andy Parfitt stating that ""While we would never condone prejudice of any kind, we know our audiences are smart enough to distinguish between maliciousness and creative freedom". This has of course sent gay lobbying groups and activists up in arms with both Stonewall and Peter Tatchell challenging Radio 1 to have clear policy about the use of offensive lyrics in songs. We do love a drama!

A website that i developed as part of my work has been nominated for an award in this years Pink Paper Readers Awards which i am really happy about, its just a shame that it is up against Facebook which everyone is blatantly going to vote for! BOO!! How they can put a charity website up against the monster that is facebook is beyond me!

Well its not long now til i shall be leaving the big city that i now call home to go back to my little town on the outskirts of Sheffield for xmas, its always a bit of a culture shock to leave this

to go to this

but i guess its the best of both worlds.

Last night i went out for dinner with my Sheffield friend's that are now based in London just to a local pub near my work, twas lovely to catch up and shoot the breeze, just a shame that they aren't heading up north for xmas, still i am sure i can find someone to toast xmas with once i have escaped my parent's, i love them dearly but i much prefer the inside of a pub to my parent's living room whilst watching Noel's Christmas Presents aka shoving some poor old lass in a wheelchair towards Cliff Richard.

I see that Britney Spears 16 year old sister is 12 weeks pregnant, Is it just me but whenever i see Britney or her sister on TV or in a magazine, the theme to the Beverly Hillbillies blasts through my head. I feel Britney's next album will go back to her roots and be total and utter country, i suggest the songs

"Not tonight darlin, i got a heartache"

"Our love died like Elvis (it got messy at the end)"

"I became shizophrenic so i could love you twice as much"

"No dick is as hard as my life"

"I dreamin of a white trash xmas!"

I am begging you to go to the newsagent and check out the front cover of New! magazine, Kerry Katona is on the front looking like a split sack of shit! Seriously it must have been the airbrusher's day off! - she looks like she has just got out of bed

BBC Radio 1 has decided to bleep the word "faggot" out of one of my favourite xmas songs ever! "Fairytale of New York" by The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl. This decision has led to a huge amount of complaints, i have to say i am tempted to complain too, This song is a classic and has been played all over the world for the last 20 years. The context of the word being used is in a drunken fight between a heterosexual couple on xmas eve.

I have said before on this blog that the word "faggot" is my least favourite derogatory word for gay people but i think this story has just made the BBC look stupid yet again. They decide that Jeremy Clarkson and Chris Moyles using the word "Gay" to describe something that is rubbish is totally acceptable but bleep out the word "faggot" in a song that they have played uncensored since 1987. The amount of times i have drunkenly sung along to this song is probably another story but the point is the words use in this particular song does not offend me.

Last night i met up with Tom, Mal and Paul and headed to one of my local gentlemen's wine bars, The George and Dragon in Shoreditch for their last ever "Retro Chart Rundown" playing tracks from the late 80's and early 90's - there were come classics being played, Good Life by Inner City, Suddenly by Angry Anderson, Starting Together by Su Pollard - ah they were all there. I just wish it hadn't been on a monday, i woke up this morning feeling way too fragile.

Rumours are starting that Michael Jackson is going to be doing a series of concerts next year at the o2 arena in London. 20 years ago i would have been so excited about this and i guess if i looked the way i did 20 years ago and went to the concert this year - Michael Jackson would be very excited! However, the last time i saw MJ performing it was a few years ago at the MTV awards, he did a surprise appearance at the end of Nsync's performance of their single "Pop - he was just dancing but he was totally out of time and looked like he was actually staggering due to someone nicking his zimmer frame. I think his concerts will be stupidly expensive mainly to pay off his massive debts (how has one of the world's most successful performing artists ended up owing so much cash??) I reckon his show will be a car crash of global proportions, how will he not literally melt under the lights?

I used to be such a huge fan and the man is a musical genius but he has not done a good song for many years and relying on 20 year old hits is not my kinda thing. He has so many fans that are extraordinarily loyal that i am sure the shows will be a sell out but i think i will stick to artists that are fresh and exciting and keep coming back with new sounds and great images - who could that be i wonder?

Crazy nights

Well another weekend of absolute madness!! friday was my work xmas do which was so much fun, we went to Bistro 1 in Soho and had a really great (bargain) meal! with games like pass the parcel which at first i hated due to my layer not having a prize in it but the 2nd time round i ended up with Troy on DVD so that will sort me out on one of these cold nights!

After the meal we all headed to Barcode in Soho for more drinks, then we went to Escape, followed by Shadow Lounge and then back to Barcode so just the 12 hours of drinking. The night ended on a low note though with people finding out their cashcards and wallets had been stolen, i managed to lose my housekeys as well and judging by my friends facebook status this weekend i was not the only one - it seems friday night was messy for many.

I had a huge lie in on saturday morning which i never do, had a nice breakfast and then headed into town to get Oliver a birthday present and then headed over to his place in West London. He loved his pressies but then again you can never go wrong with porn and pants! After a few drinks at his we headed back into town with Lou and Amy to meet up with people in Vodka Revolution in Soho and after much vodka we staggered round to the Soho Revue Bar but we were early and the club was not open yet so we decided to get warm by going into the sex shop opposite which was quite an eye opening experience for one and all - i have been in gay sex shops before but the heterosexuals are really quite imaginative! my personal fave was the rubber vagina with a hole in the packaging so you could try before you buy! it was like putting my hand in an oyster!! snap shut! i nearly pulled the thing off the shelf. We left shortly after.

Soho Revue Bar is really quite fabulous but we managed to bring it down to our level by taking photos of each other kissing, buying 2 bottles of wine at a time and then there was the pole dancing! All very messy!! I cant quite remember what time i left but i do remember having a nightbus nightmare, it took me forever to get home and it was frikkin freezing!! i had to get 3 different buses!! boo!!

Yesterday i had a very lazy day, managed another good lie in, went up to Angel and bought my monthly pile of gay magazines. The new issue of Attitude is hilarious!! Mark Feehilly from Westlife is on the front cover with his boyfriend Kevin McDaid, they have been airbrushed within an inch of their lives!! check it, the quintessential plastic gay faces!!

I see from reading the papers that Leon Jackson won The X Factor on saturday night. I have to admit that i have only seen about 3 shows from this series but i was shocked to hear he had won, I can clearly remember "Same Difference" due to them being like an incestuous version of STEPS, i bet their mum and dad are brother and sister too!! The other finalist, Rhydian, is hard to forget with his striking (scary) looks and very amazing voice. So i was quite surprised that the chipmunk faced guy won as i cant remember a single thing that he sang this series. Ah well - he is no Leona Lewis so i doubt he shall be troubling the charts for long.

This week is crazy busy with me trying to catch up with my mates before heading home for Xmas. Still have quite a lot of xmas shopping to do but that thought makes me feel slightly sick, going onto Oxford Street this week is just going to be hideous! the only way i am going to be able to do it is to be behind the wheels of a combine harvester just chewing up tourists as i go, those people are too slow and have no spacial awareness - it makes me kinda wanna scream.

news just in, due to baby spice spraining her ankle at one of the Spice Girls Las Vegas shows, they can no longer perform on tomorrow's strictly come dancing show but luckily the producers have managed to find a dynamic pop picking chart topper as a replacement, yes what artist could get you on that dancefloor in the same way the spice girls could - well james blunt of course!! hang on a minute achdoewuihfseccfeuwhf oh sorry i just fell asleep on my keyboard thinking about it

HAPPY BIRTHDAY OLIVER!

Yay it's my girl oliver's bday today, she is 53, yes 53!! so we are going to be shaking things up in soho tomorrow, i am doing a dress rehearsal today with the people from work. We are gaying it forward with lunch followed by buckets of alcohol! Apparently today is the biggest xmas drinking day of the year and the police are driving a booze bus (apoparently not a bus full of booze, i guess you have to live in Newcastle to see one of those) round London ready to pick up people who are far too intoxicated. I shall probably get run over by the bloody thing.

Our gracious leader Madonna is going to be inducted into the USA Hall of Fame, She obviously should have been put in there years ago but apparently you have to have been recording music for over 25 years and as this year is her 25th anniversary - in she goes! Madonna has had many critics over the years and i have spent many a night defending her and trying to envelope people in to appreciating her.

No one can deny that she has set the trend for female vocalists in the last 25 years, challenging people's perceptions of sexuality, gender and taking music performance to a new level. The majority of the time it is so easy to be a Madonna fan, she does everything first and others try to follow in her wake, she has never had a breakdown or trouble with drink or drugs. Next year she turns 50, releases a new album and will be touring, she shows no sign of slowing down and i dont think she could if she tried, you go girl!

Going to the chapel and we're going to be an obstacle on the road to peace...

nah does'nt have the same ring to it does it, The Pope, in his annual message of peace, has called for the dismantling of nuclear weapons (am with ya on that one ropey popey) and environmental co-operation (right there with ya on that too, nice white frock by the way) and describes gay marriage as "an obstacle on the road to peace" or if ya want the whole shebang -

"This point merits special reflection: everything that serves to weaken the family based on the marriage of a man and a woman, everything that directly or indirectly stands in the way of its openness to the responsible acceptance of a new life, everything that obstructs its right to be primarily responsible for the education of its children, constitutes an objective obstacle on the road to peace."

Oh no,no,no, you were doing fine, you had been courteous and receptive to courtesy. You had established trust, with the embarassing truth about catholic priests and now this ham handed segue into gay marriage - it wont do.

For those of you who don't recognise this, its from "silence of the lambs", i have finally lost it and have now created a scene in my head where i am Hannibal Lecter and the Pope and Clarice Starling. I think it might be time to close the crazy box

Also in homo news - Scotland has just released the results of a survey carried out to explore people's attitudes to lesbian, gay and bisexual people, i think the results are shocking - 30% of people think that same sex relationships are always or mostly wrong, 21% think that gays should not be allowed to marry and 33% would be unhappy if a relative formed a long term relationship with someone of the same sex. Am i the only person living in 2007? It's just really sad that these attitudes are thriving.

Tomorrow it's my work xmas do and i expect severe carnage, it's also our very early pay day so i have to be very careful not to shout out "CHAMPAGNE!" as soon as we get started, Just to warn anyone - we will be in Soho probably doing the conga down Old Compton Street by 4pm. It's also Oliver's birthday tomorrow but i won't be seeing him which is probably for the best as i am sure he does not want to be projectile vomited on on his big day. I shall be out with bells on come saturday for much drinking and dancing.

i may slag off heat magazine sometimes but every once in a while they really know how to get my vote

it's a good day for man candy!!

Good lord!!

I was on the bus this morning minding my own business flicking through the Metro when i saw a picture that made me audibly gasp and fan myself with my gloves! David Beckham modelling very tight fitting underwear in the new Emporio Armani campaign. His chest, his legs, his chiselled face...usually i like them a bit rough and ready but occassionally a pretty man will slip through the net and boy did he this morning!! the woman sat in front of me very nearly went to work with a very sticky neck! The picture is going to be on billboards round London - i predict many fatalities as pedestrians are distracted crossing roads as are drivers! Beckham kills!!

Last night i was bored and poor so took myself off to the cinema to see "The Golden Compass", As i said yesterday i am a huge fan of the Philip Pullman books so was very eager to see how it had been translated onto the big screen. The story revolves around a young girl called Lyra who lives in a world parallel to ours where each human being has an animal that encapsulates their soul, these animals are known as daemons. The first movie follows Lyra's quest to help her uncle discover ways to access new world through a substance known as dust. This is just the icing on the cake of the book as so much happens page by page, just read them, they are magnificent!!

The film comes from the same production studio as the mighty Lord of the Rings trilogy. I was expecting greatness and initially i was pretty impressed but having sat back and thought about it and flicking through the book last night i am now feeling pretty robbed! The journey in the 1st book starts in Oxford and takes us to the North Pole with much tension and many adventures along the way, in the film the journey takes less than 2 hours and is all a bit turn left at this continent, cross a bridge...oh here we are brrr!! The young actress playing Lyra is pretty fiesty but often seems out of her depth and the characters so intensely described in the book seem to be dropped into the film with the simple instruction of getting Lyra from one scene to the next.

It's not all bad, the special effects are amazing but not as grand and groundbreaking as anything seen in Lord of the Rings. The film has 2 saving graces - The Ice Bears, Ian McKellen and Ian McShane provide the voices for the 2 main bear characters - Iorek Byrnison and Ragnar Sturlusson are beaufifully portrayed and the fight scene is CGI genius! The other saving grace has to be Nicole Kidman who stunningly oozes evil and is so so watchable.

The most annoying thing about the film is the ending, i wont spoil it but they have basically cut the ending of the book out of the film and are instead going to open the 2nd film with the ending of the 1st book. You are left supposedly wanting more but i am honestly not sure if i do.

hey hey hey,

i have just had such a good weekend in Sheffield! Usually i come back laced with stories of bad hair, fashion and skin but we went to thew new gay bar "Affinity" both nights and had a really good time. We also did the usual drunken mess in "Dempseys" which is always good for a laugh. I did fear the worst when i first arrived in Sheffield, I went to the showroom bar near the train station and the 1st thing i saw was a woman with black and white hair! she looked like a rather large badger in a frock.

It was lovely to catch up with Dan, Kerri, Matt, Paul, Adam, Danny etc, thanks to the alan carr dvd there was much laughter too! i didn't have time to see my parents or Kerri's lovely boys which was a real shame but i shall be back in 2 weeks for xmas!

I am having a rather skint time at the moment so this week i am going to be living in the cinema, i think i might go and see "The Golden Compass" tonight, i have been getting more and more excited about this film, i loved Philip Pullman's books and from the clips i have seen, the film looks amazing and i bet Nicole Kidman is perfect!! Am also looking forward to seeing Brad Pitt in the new jesse james film, Ryan Reynolds in "The Nines" and Adrien Brody in "The Darjeeling Limited"

Friday is when things will start to get crazy, i have my work end of year lunch in Soho and then Oliver's birthday celebrations. Next week i am trying to meet up with people before i leave to go home for xmas. I also kinda need to start my xmas shopping at some point!

Watching the news at the moment is like watching a soap opera, I am of course talking about the story of John Darwin who disapeared mysteriously nearly 6 years ago and then turned up at a London police station at the weekend claiming he was a missing person, the wife had moved to panama thinking her husband had died. It was all a big scam though and the stupid muppets managed to get photographic proof that they were totally conning the system and living off the life insurance.

The heartbreaking aspect of this story is the fact that the couple's 2 sons who are both around my age had no idea about any of this. The majority of my attitudes, beliefs and values were formed by my parents and i love them too much to say. The sheer betrayal these 2 young men must feel is overwhelming. How a mother and father could do that to their son's is beyond my comprehension. The mother - Anne Darwin has been quoted as saying "What kind of mother am i?" - the answer is quite simple, awful! How they will ever forgive her is beyond me - i think this case is going to drag on for a long time but the effect on their sons will go on forever and all for money - pathetic.

The Winehouse has been at it again, the other night she had late visits from Pete Doherty and Sadie Frost, do we think they were there to offer support to Amy during her time of need or do we think she was going through her phone book to see who would be able to bring drugs round at short notice. Don't think we need to take a vote on that one do we. It's not all bad news for the Winehouse though, today she has been nominated for 6 Grammy Awards including record, album and song of the year - i heard her talent described this week as infuriating - pretty spot on i would say.

So i am off to Sheffield this weekend and am really looking forward to catching up with people and sampling the new gay bar that has opened, apparently it's quite nice, i think it's called "Affinity" - its about time the gays had somewhere good to go in the steel city. I just hope there are less mullets and cheesy wotsit skinned faces, the plastic gay face is so not a good look, i prefer my men slightly more natural, the "i have just headbutted a make up bag" look is adjacent to tragic.

This is the first week if a boudoirless blog, i must say i think i have served you quite well with the amount of men troubling my doors and they have indeed served me well, this does not mean there will never be pics of lovely men on here so please keep reading as you never know when one might pop up!

I hope you have a fab weekend

Dolly does Rotherham!!

This has to be one of the most bizarre things i have heard about in a long time. Yesterday Dolly Parton went to Rotherham to launch a child literacy scheme. The Imagination Library scheme was initially launched by Ms Parton in her native East Tennessee and now she has brought it over to the UK. The schene itself sounds a fantastic idea, with the aim of posting each child in the area a free book every month until they are five. I had to laugh though at the thought of Dolly going to Rotherham, if you have not been to Rotherham don't!! The only time it is mentioned in local news is usually due to a teenager being stabbed outside a nightclub. I wonder what the small children of Rotherham made of Dolly, most of them probably thought it was a free panto and she was widow twanky. Madonna does Malawi, Dolly does Rotherham.

Facebook groups are funny little thing aren't they, one of my friends has invited me to a group called "Save the Olympic 2012 cats from death" - basically there are loads of stray cats living on one of the sites that is being developed for the olympics and cat fans are worried that they won't all be saved in time. This friend obviously does not know me very well, i loathe cats, i am petrified of them and generally think that they are satan disguised as many animals. It's safe to say that i will not be joining this group, its more likely that i shall be behind the wheel of a speeding JCB hurtling towards the manky little strays laughing like a nutter.

The British Comedy Awards were held in London last night and i am so pleased that Liz Smith was awarded Best Actress for her portrayal of Nanna in the last episode of the Royle Family - her performance was astoundingly touching with beautiful comic timing. Alan Carr was awarded best stand up for his Tooth Fairy tour which i have just bought on dvd and it is hilarious, i can safely say there is not one bad gag in there.

Talking of comedy Kerry "mums gone to iceland cos the shelf stacker is a drug dealer" Katona is releasing her own perfume, what the hell is that going to smell like? I should think it would have the rather intoxicating aroma of 20 rothmans in a ashtray full of stale lager. What will it be called? Munter by Kerry Katona?, Minger by Kerry Katona? or Muppet by Kerry Katona?

Happy Birthday to Dan, who turns 28 today! See ya at the weekend babygirl for muchos funos!!

Well the Sex and the City film has finished filming, it is within my grasp, i can practically taste it!! Apparently it is going tyo be less frivolous than the series, SJP's character is a career girl now and a few years older. Please god let there still be some classic Samantha orgasm's and quotable lines!!

I checked the pink news website this morning and was very sad to read that another young man has been executed in Iran for gay sex. Makvan Mouloodzadeh was executed in Kermanshah Central Prison yesterday. Neither Mr Mouloodzadeh's family or his lawyer were told about the execution until after it occurred.

The International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (IGLHRC) reports that despite an order by the Iranian Chief Justice to nullify his death sentence, he was put to death. Mr. Mouloodzadeh was a 21-year-old Iranian citizen who was accused of committing anal rape (ighab) with other young boys when he was 13 years old. However, at Mr. Mouloodzadeh's trial, all the witnesses retracted their pre-trial testimonies, claiming to have lied to the authorities under duress. Makvan also told the court that his confession was made under coercion and pleaded not guilty. How long are we as a global community going to sit back and watch these atrocities unroll before our eyes?

i feel a fool!! a silly gay gay gay fool!

How could i have not mentioned the new Kylie album!! At first i thought it was all a bit too bip bop bip for my liking. It sounded like Kylie had popped a couple of fivers into the pockets of Daft Punk and they had sat on a synth but worry ye not, i decided to give it the time and attention i would give a Madonna album and surely to bejesus she has cracked it, its 45 mins of sheer lovely pop, just the right length for me to either get ready to go out to or to down a bottle of chardonnay.

There is one track that is blatantly terrible called "Nudity" which sounds like a Britney b side but apart from that it is shiny and spectacular, welcome back Kylie, we gays were hoping for the occassional torch song been thrown in there talking about your battle with breast cancer but that aint disco friendly is it?

Bless Kylie, Love Madonna

xx

At last!!!

I am a huge fan of people in the public eye coming out, i think it is vitally important, especially for young people, to have role models that they can look up to, that can inspire them to embrace their sexuality. Reports are surfacing that a hollywood actress is going to come out of the closet over the next month and the big rumour is that it will be Oscar nominated actress, tv hoost and rapper Queen Latifah.

It is not exactly shocking, there have been rumours about her ever since she played a lesbian in the movie "Set it off". It is alleged that she will not only be coming out of the closet but also announcing her engagement to her girlfriend. Go tifah!!

Sunday night saw the first night of the Spice Girls reunion tour and so far the reviews have been pretty good, lets face it - they are never going to be the best singers but there songs were perfect pop and they had the right blend of personalities to make pop history and i love them for that and can't wait to jump back on board the spice bus! they also look amazing!

I must apologise now for not doing my blog for a few days but due to being ill and swamped with work, it aint been easy. There was no boudoir guy on friday and i have to say that there won't be one for a while. Over the last months i have featured many many lovely men but i think it might be time for me to start looking for one of those man creatures for myself so for the time being i shall leave the imaginary doors of the boudoir closed whilst propping the real doors open slightly.

Lately i have enjoyed the fact that i have become more passionate about issues close to my heart and would like to spend more time writing about those, i shall of course not stop discussing the many superficial aspects of the celebrity world such as the sad demise of Chantelle from Celebrity Big Brother, i used to love her, she was down to earth and seemed to take everything in her stride but after skimming through an interview with her in OK! this week i am horrified. She is mainly using the article to discuss her problems with Bulemia - was it wise for OK! to do a photoshoot of her surrounded by cakes and pizzas and bra's and panties?

She also totally dismisses her marriage to Preston of the Ordinary Boys, the old chantelle would never have aired her dirty laundry in public in such a way, at one point she even talks about the best way to get more press - getting a boob job (which she already has done) and wearing short skirts and low cut tops out in public, it is so sad to see someone get sucked into this lifestyle with no one telling her that she is basically making a fool of herself.

I am off to Sheffield this weekend as it Ms Jackson's birthday and we are going to shake things up in the only way we know how, poor thing is working at clothes show live tomorrow which is his actual birthday so we will have to make up for it big time!

Anyways sickness has led to lots of work piling up so bye for now

xx
