Oh good lord people!! How could i forget - its friday and you know what that means.

The Imaginary Men Of Pippy's Boudoir!

My taste in men has sometimes been described as ecclectic, intriguing, worrying or vomit inducing. I really have no idea how todays choice is going to go down (fnar fnar). I do tend to have 2 quite distinct types of men, the first being older, well built - the kind of guy that coiuld take care of me. The 2nd being cute little indie boys with mischievous looks in their eyes.

This one is a bit random! however for the first time it is someone that i have actually spoken to. He grabbed my attention by playing Coronation Streets 1st gay character and i have been smitten ever since, I interviewed him a couple of years ago for work and he was charming, So i give you the boyish good looks of Bruno Langley

Lovin Courtney Love!

Hey people,

Sorry for another delay in blogging but until i buy my own computer (in a month!!) i have to rely on the kindness of work and strangers to fill in my blog. I have NEVER owned my own computer and am only really looking into buying one as i desperately need an ipod! My cd collection is immense and is taking over my room, dont even get me started on those addictive dvd box sets!!

This week there was a fantastic documentary on More 4 about Courtney Love, I realise that many many people think she is a drugged up old whore (similar things have been said about me, mother's can be so cruel!) Anyways she has just got out of rehab and is recording a new album which is being produced by the amazing Linda Perry! I remember going to see Courtney when she was in Hole, She played at Sheffield Octagon just a few months after Kurt Cobain had killed himself, she was full of rage in a black rubber dress with no knickers on and so drunk she thought she was in Manchester - true rock star!!

The second time i saw her live was at the Reading Festival one year. She played an amazing set but yet again was off her face, The headline act straight after her were the Smashing Pumpkins whose lead singer Billy Corgan used to do the dirty dirty with Ms Love. During their set she came down to the pit, snogged some guy in the crowd who was next to me and then jumped into the crowd - i think she kicked my in the head!! it was awesome!!

The documentary this week showed a new Courtney, She has been in rehab and is really focused and from what i could make out she was a genuinely lovely person. I dont know why i have chosen to heap such praise on Ms Love, i guess its friday and am feeling ready for the weekend and have been inspired by someone who gets so trashed and still manages to shine on through, i just hope i am still feeling like this on monday morning but who knows what the weekend will hold....

drive safe

Professional gay men? or gay men that need professional help?

Well mortals! Last night i went with Oliver to an event called "Village Drinks" - this is a monthly social for single, professional gay men in London. The organisers book a different bar in London each month and encourage gay men to come along and mingle. It is generally aimed at lawyers, bankers, financiers, media people etc. Obviously me and oliver went with the aim of bagging ourselves a money soaked hottie! Alas this was not to be...

The bar that had been booked was way too small for the hundreds of guys that turned up so we were penned in like battery hens. There was no cloakroom and the nasty wine was way too expensive, it all just felt like a bit of a joke really - over hearing conversations where guys were bragging about what business they were in, where they lived. All just a load of verbal penis extensions. As for the dancing that happened later, gay men dancing in suits as if they are in a gay club is just wrong - wave that tie bitch!!

We decided that we would go again but instead of dressing up to impress we would go as ourselves, it was very much a romy and michelle's high school reunion moment (if you have not seen this film just go and buy it, its truly hilarious!), If we are gonna get judged on who we are and the way we look, i would prefer to feel comfortable whilst it's happening.

Little recommendation - i have just bought "The Feelings" new album and it is great, lovely bouncy indie tunes for all to enjoy!

Depressing Heat Magazine!!

Well viewers, Usually tuesdays are quite good for me, I have pretty much got over the weekend and got into the stream of things at work so taking all that on board i hopped, skipped and jumped to WHSmith at lunch to pick up my copy of Heat Magazine - it may be tittle tattle to a lot of people but i for one love a bit of showbiz gossip.

Today is a different story - my beloved Heat is full of depressing stories, Steve Irwin's memorial service, the awful crash involving Richard Hammond and Grace from BB7 getting beaten up outside G-A-Y (now i know most people think she is an evil cow and indeed on that show she was a nasty piece of work but no one deserves to be a victim of such violence)

The main sad story that Heat reports on is actually good news in my eyes. Pete from BB7 has dumped that screaming freak Nikki. I think i have ranted about her before in my blog but i think she really deserves a second mauling especially now that she has been dumped!

Unfortunately last week i accidentally flicked onto E4 as her show "Princess Nikki" was being transmitted. I watched for a grand total of 5 minutes and i realise that i may be about to make a sweeping statement but i could not care less. The woman is a disgrace! The general idea of the show is that poor little nikki has to do mundane jobs to see if she can last a day in employment and although i know its supposed to be entertainment, i just think its tragic that this kind of "person" is celebrated and that her arrogance, ignorance, rudeness, childishness and vile behaviour is even uttered in the same breath as celebrity and entertainment.

On the particular show that i saw she joined a group of binmen on their daily rounds, So obviously she would have to pick up bin bags and throw them in the lorry, she immediately threw a tantrum and threw herself on some random car and started crying like a small child. When one of her fellow colleagues asked her what was wrong. She screamed in his face and demanded that he take his filthy, common hands off her. At that point i screamed at the tv and turned off.

I am begging you blog viewers, do not watch her show, if she is on any tv programme turn it over, if you see her on the street cross over. I dread her being seen as any kind of role model for young people, now that the cameras are off in the big brother house, lets just pop her back in there and tell her that they are switched on and then she can be a little spoilt twat freak to her hearts content and just in case lets pop her parents in there too before they create another demonic child.

yours rantingly

I think i need to go into rehab!!

Hi folks,

Yet another weekend of drunken stupidity is behind me but there are far too many aspects to remind me! They say you live and learn, i just wonder when it will be my turn - ok enough of the rhyming.

Friday night was supposed to be a lil quiet one, just a few drinks after work but things never quite work out the way i intend. So i left work and went to the pub with James and Camilla for a good ole work gossip, Pete came along and filled me in on all his gossip, it was a general gossip fest. Tony popped along later and all was merry and fun. I was thinking about heading home at one point but that was not to be as my dancing partner Kaz text me to say that she was celebrating in town after passing her course.

I hopped on the tube and met her and some more mates in Freedom bar in Soho. The majority of the night was great fun but i think i must have had a little too much to drink as i slightly blacked out for a while and kaz had to rescue me from the toilets - Bless you kaz!!! After i had got over my ordeal i carried on regardless and ended up not having much sleep at all.

Cut to me on saturday morning, having had 3 or 4 hours sleep heading into town to meet Oliver, Mel and Adrian and some lovely girlies for lunch at Cafe Emm, Lunch was not that great actually - how you can get a chicken caesar salad so wrong is beyond me. More drinks followed before a quick dash home to get changed and then back out for drinks in Element and dancing in Trash Palace - much fun and a cheeky snog with a random man on the way out made for a great night out.

Yesterday was mainly a day of rest - Did a little bit of shopping and met James in town for a few cheeky pints before heading back home for a serious bit of r and r.

This week is a crazy one at work and the nights aint much quieter, I really had tried to give myself a chilled month in October in prep for the birthday madness of november but that now looks like it was all a big joke.

Hope you all had fun times

I'm Alive!!!.......ALIVE!!!

Don't worry people - I could not get within sniffing distance of a computer yesterday and despite my FOUL mood on wednesday, i am all good today mainly due to the fact that it's pay day! No more looking for pennies down the back of the sofa, no more crying like a baby at cash machines!

After writing my blog on wednesday i got a text from the lovely Ruth informing me that she had got a new job and a new flat!! So celebrations were in order! Off i popped to Soho to meet her along with Chris, Ruth and Mr Dan Simmons who is back and refreshed from his trip to New York and San Fran. We had a lovely night, a bit too lovely since i didn't get home til 2am!!!

Yesterday was a bit of a disaster workwise, i was a shadow of my former self which would have been fine if i had been sat at my desk all day but i had a huge seminar to go to in the morning in Soho which felt a bit like returning to the scene of the crime and then a huge meeting in the afternoon. blurgh!

Last night i went over to Oliver's so we could both drown in our own poverty, Watched Extras which just gets better by the week. I really dont want to like Ricky Gervais but the man is a genius.

The weekend is shaping up to be a good one, well i have money so that generally helps things along, No rehearsal this weekend but i am starting to buy my outfit. Cant give too much away cos Dame Peter Algacs reads this blog and she aint gonna know nothing about the details of the performance.

Well it's friday so it's time for the second instalment of....

THE IMAGINARY MEN OF PIPPY'S BOUDOIR

Todays hottie award goes to a more mainstream piece of man candy, His body is truly beautiful and his eyes and smile are the 8th and 9th wonders of the world. Step forward Mr Jake Gyllenhaal.

I think i might need to lie down now!!

Right people have a good weekend,

Seriously! Just tax the stupid people!

Why are people so f***in dopey!! What is it about London that makes people walk around with their eyes shut? Either i am covered in stupidity magnets or people just enjoy walking into me. I have managed to survive 29 years on this planet without ever feeling the need to walk down a high street whilst looking behind me, Watch where you are going you twats!!

God this week is going as slow as a tourist on Oxford Street on a saturday! I imagine the week is dragging because it is pay day on friday and i am totally 100% broke. Being broke in London is not a strange thing but it is immensely depressing, It's quite a nice day today and i am craving a pint of lager but alas i shall have to go home or go to the cinema with my bargain card. Boo!!

Ooh dear, I am not in a good mood today and i dont know why. Work is going pretty well at the moment, although i have just been to one of those meetings that felt more like a late night discussion programme - the kind of meeting i loathe! Everyone has something to say but no action is taken and no plans are made. A waste of my precious time!

Ah well tomorrow is another day and hopefully a better one. Sorry for the lack of humour and enthusiasm today but even god took a day off!

What have they done to karen walker???

Last night i went to see Helen Mirren's new film "The Queen". The film is set in the week after Princess Diana's death. It is a great film and Dame Mirren's performance is astounding. I am not a fan of the royal family at all although i was a fan of Princess Diana and i aint ashamed to say it. The film presents both sides of the story and leaves the viewer to make their own decisions about the way the world handled that week in 1997. I left the cinema still loving Diana whilst also understanding the way the Queen felt she had to deal with things.

I got back from the cinema and fell into bed to watch the strangely attractive Alexander Armstrong in "Life Begins" followed by a few episodes from my new "Will and Grace" box set. Its the 8th and final series and although there are some classic moments, the show has lost a lot of what made it great. The fact that they have turned Karen Walker into a caring and emotional individual is a travesty!!!

Karen Walker has to be one of my favourite sitcom characters of all time. Her fantastic one liners and drug and drink fuelled state have always managed to bring a smile to my face. Below are some examples of the genius wit that was Miss Karen Walker!

"It's not something that you can just run away from like a hotel bill or a crying baby"

"Well don't let it go to your head, Your hair is already such a disaster that the red cross wont even give it coffee"

"You know what else is sad - poor people with dreams, well its not so much sad as it is extremely funny"

"How did you hurt your back? Running away from good taste?"

"I'll have a scotch on the rocks and make the rocks pills!"

"Martini honey! and dont waste any space with those olives"

"Honey you're simple, you're shallow and you're a common whore and thats why we're soulmates"

Refreshing, Rehearsing and Reflecting

Well there goes another weekend! It was a really good one!! Saturday was quite a nice sunny day, I had a bit of a lazy morning. Finally got the chance to phone my friend Missy Dan Jackson for a gossippy chin wag which was long overdue, Was great to catch up and have a proper good laugh! Hopefully Miss Thing will be coming down to London Village quite a lot over the next few months and i can only imagine the carnage. There is a gutter and a skip in Soho with our names written all over it!!

Saturday afternoon Oliver came over so we could get ready for our Scissor Sisters experience!! Off we trolled into town! First we met up with our friend Paul who was in London for the weekend plus Tony, Clare and Glenn for a few beers, it was good to see the gang together though far too brief.

Just after 6 me and Oli minced down to Trafalgar Square to get a good position for the Sisters, They did keep us waiting for what seemed like an age but we did manage to get right at the front. Kylie introduced them on stage but alas we were at the wrong side of the stage so totally missed the lil pop princess. The Sisters were fantastic!! Really lively performers and fascinating to watch. BabyDaddy exceeded all expectations and i must admit to staring at him in a totally unhealthy way but hey whats a homo to do?

The concert finished at 10 and we hot footed it to Trash Palace for a much needed beer, Then attempted to get into G-A-Y Late bar which i have never made it into cos the queue is usually round the block and they employ one of the worst breeds in London - Bouncers with too much power! We gave it up in the end and stupidly went to Element bar for a bottle of wine which totally finished us off and then had the biggest nightmare ever trying to get home! Grrrr!!

Sunday i woke up feeling surprisingly ok, but there was no time to waste - i had a rehearsal to get to! The routine for Pete's party is really taking shape now and although we soent most of the time laughing at each other, there were a few moments of true inspiration. We are calling ourselves the Madonna Twins and are now the headline act at the party. Just over a month to go now so we have some major outfit buying to do!

After our arduous rehearsal we went into town to meet Pete and had a few beers before heading down to the Thames to catch the fireworks that marked the end of the weekends Thames Festival, They were pretty good fireworks but we did look like 3 total steamers sat on a bench drinking stella and laughing our heads off at tales of childhood chip butty consumption.

I got home last night having had a great weekend, feeling grateful for having such good friends but also reflecting, It seems at the moment that nearly all my friends are single and it is quite a strange state of affairs. I have been single for a LONG time and although i love going out and getting wasted and having a good time, I do wonder when a relationship will be heading my way.
I have totally lost faith in the internet! Guys are either only after one thing or they appear to be interested and then disappear off the face of the earth. Meeting single gay men in London should be easy but it is quite the opposite. If i was just after a quick anonymous fumble that would not be a problem but meeting a guy and getting to know him by going on dates is a whole other matter. Out on the gay scene, men tend to be in their little cliques and trying to wrench them out of their safety zone is a challenge that i have not yet met with great confidence.

I have not given up hope and i truly believe that i shall meet someone when i least expect it, that is how it has always happened in the past. Maybe when i go out i just stink of desperate or maybe i am just as guilty of the clique too. I always go out with good groups of mates and we laugh, we laugh a lot - i guess trying to infiltrate that would also be a challenge, I just hope that one day some guy will be able to get in!

I think i am turning into Carrie Bradshaw now so i shall shut up, get my head out of the dumps and my legs in the air!

I am off the see the wonderful Helen Mirren tonight in "The Queen", it is supposed to be fantastic so a full review will be here tomorrow.

Try and have a happy monday people.

Kisses xx

i DO feel like dancing!!

Great news pop pickers - Oliver has won 2 tickets to go and see the Scissor Sisters in Trafalgar Square tomorrow night and he is taking lil ole me!! I cant say that i am an obsessive sisters fan but i do love all their songs and face it they are the campest band on the planet - i am strangely attracted to Babydaddy! he is a great big hulk of a man!

Looking back on my blog i dont think i have spent enough time talking about men, Just because i dont have one in my life right now - doesn't mean i cant at least talk about guys that i would quite frankly like "to do" - so starting from today is a regular friday feature -

THE IMAGINARY MEN OF PIPPY'S BOUDOIR!

So the first imaginary man of pippy's boudoir award goes to the simply divine Christopher Meloni. For those of you that dont know he is an american actor who starred in an extraordinarily homoerotic prison series called "Oz" and currently stars in my fave crime series "Law and Order:Special Victims Unit. He is quite simply edible!

As you may have guessed i do go for hulking great men with receeding hair!

Anyway my lovelies, have a gorge weekend and i shall update very soon,

Did i speak to soon??

Well it is all over the news that Dame Whitney of Houston is getting divorced from Bobby Brown and rumours are already starting that she is back in the studio! Now whether she is in the studio to record new material or has finally realised that the best place to do a big fat long line is on a mixing desk, well thats anyones guess.

Have to send some shout outs now firstly to my mate tony, who had an accident on his bike the other day and secondly to my main girl Emma who is stuck in the house, 7 months pregnant and not very well - bless ya both! If only you had Mariah Carey to cheer you up, i mean look at the effect she is having on this homeless guy!

If only we all had a mariah in our lives!!

Had a nice drink last night with my mates Clare, Glenn, Tony and Dav. Glenn was giving me the lowdown on laptops, I am about to leap into the 1990's and actually have my own lil lappy!! I am hoping to get an ipod for my 30th birthday, I have hundreds of cd's and there is nothing more annoying than being stood in the middle of the street trying to clumsily switch my cd's around without anyone seeing that i am swapping Hard Fi for Five Star!

Right i am off to dance to "How will i know" by Whitney - hopefully somewhere in the world she is doing exactly the same thing!!

ps - having just read the comment on todays blog from missy oliver - i must say that i do of course have double figues in my wardrobe and to shame the both of us - on our ONE week holiday to gran canaria between us we took 49 tops!! too gay to function? i think we are!

Gay Pride!!

The Queen Of Pop!!

hello suger buggars!! How are we all today?

I thought it was about time that i wrote something on this ere blog about Madonna. Everyone reading this is probably well aware that she is my idol, inspiration and reason for living. Last night she played her 1st ever concert in Russia!! As always with our gracious leader, the show was surrounded with controversy. It always amazes me that people still get wound up by Madonna's shows. She has always used her shows as a platform to express her views and beliefs and has never apologised if some have found it offensive or shocking.

I think we need more artists like Madonna, artists that push the boundaries, not necessarily to push their records up the charts but to actually say something! Madonna should be celebrated for being a strong, driven female role model. In the past 20 or more years she has achieved more than any female artist ever and yet still the press lay into her on a regular basis.

Think about all the major artists of the 80's, Michael Jackson = has not had a decent record out for over 10 years and his image (apart from his face) has stayed exactly the same, short black trousers with white socks and black slip ons!!! i mean please!!

Whitney Houston, who famously once said that if her children turned out like Madonna she would have nothing to do with them. Cut to now - Madonna, successful career and mother to 2 beautiful children. Whitney Houston - whacked out crack whore who probably snorted her child a few months ago. Maybe that was a bit harsh, i just cant wait for the comedown tour!

George Michael - Great singer/songwriter but again seems to be letting drugs and a complete inability to drive wreck his career.

So Madonna i salute you for never falling out of a club wrecked, for constantly staying one step ahead of your game and for showing the new bitches on the block (britney, beyonce, christina, ms clarkson) how its really done!

Now passing rather clumsily onto another subject - my dear friend Emma has informed me that i subtly passed over the man on man section of the holiday report, i did not give you enough details of the poor gullible wide eyed fools that fell for my cunning mating rituals.

Exhibit A - A young man called "Tommy" from Crewe, A lovely young man who was staying in the same hotel, we got chatting, went drinking with his mates, was all very lovely. Slightly embarassing the morning after when oliver said that i had sounded like Samantha Jones from Sex and the City through the bedroom wall. What can i say? i was enjoying myself!

Exhibit B - Another young man called "Chris" from Wales (cant remember which part) he was on holiday with his friend Lucy. He was quite innocent and looked slightly like a young Jake Shears of Scissor Sisters fame. Let's just say that i have been round the block a few times, well so many times i have blisters on my feet and need to sit down! I felt it was my role to educate this young man and i can safely say that men in Wales will be seeing a whole new, bendier Chris when he returns home!

I am really sorry for the last 2 paragraphs but if i get requests to talk about stuff - i aint gonna be ignorant.

Hopefully tomorrow's post will be a little more innocent but i am not promising

Bye bitches

Post Holiday True Blues!

Well today is not a nice day in london village, the weather can't make its mind up and neither can my voice! I think the excessive partying on the holiday and at the weekend have started to punish me. My voice doesn't know what its going to sound like next. One minute i can speak perfectly clearly and the next i can barely manage a croak!

I have decided (or rather my bank account has decided) that i am going to take it easy for the rest of the month. I know it will do me good. I am just going to live off my cinema membership card. There are stacks of good films out at the moment, except "The Sentinel" which i saw on the plane on the way back from gran can - so dull! the sexy air steward deserved much more of my time!

I shall be seeing - Little Miss Sunshine, The Queen, Volver, An inconvenient truth and a scanner darkly. All sound pretty good.

I must admit i am dreading the boredom of "the quiet weekend" - very rarely i will spend a weekend at home and not go out except for a quick run to the shop. I always seem to think that there will be lots of great things to watch on tv or i can sort the flat out or even leave the flat and do something in London that does not involve money.

Cut to me not leaving the flat because i am too lazy or the weather is rubbish. Watching some of the worst tv in the history of broadcasting. I guess i could catch up on Oprah or watch the piles of films that have been taped off Film 4.

Well i better get back to what they pay me for.

Have fun people.

Back to the grindstone!!

Yo Yo Yo people!!

Apologies for the short post on friday but time was money! Today is my 1st day back at work and it is proving to be quite testing! I have 253 emails to get through and loads of new and interesting things in my in-tray.

Anyways, The holiday was so much fun. The area we stayed in was called playa del ingles (playa dingles!) It really did not feel that spanish at all, with bars called "The British Bulldog" and "The Jolly Jester" - i hasten to add that we did not frequent these establishments. If i wanted to sit and drink a beer whilst watching peter kay, i would rock up in my living room!!

The hotel we stayed in was very near to a place called "The Yumbo Center" - which is basically a really tacky shopping center but instead of shops, it is just crammed with gay bars. Mainly all british owned so i didnt exactly immerse myself in spanish culture. The bars were pretty good and all the bar staff were very heavy handed with the vodka which has sent my alcohol tolerance to a whole new level.

The one rather bizarre thing about the "Yumbo Center" was the amount of chavvy families, drinking alongside the mincing boys, it was rather disturbing to be sat in a bar at 1.30 in the morning and having a woman sat on the next table with a pint of lager, a ciggie hanging out of her mouth whilst pushing a push chair back and forth. i felt like Kerry Katona's next door neighbour!!

The weather was amazing and i have come back with a lush tan, mainly due to lying round the pool most days, we did attempt to walk to the beach a couple of times and although we did make it, it was a bit too far - sand dunes, flip flops and burning hot sand do not make a good combination!

I did meet some rather lovely boys and had lots of fun with them, i also found myself turning into the biggest bitch ever! i dont know what happened to me or oliver but it was like tourettes! we could not stop ourselves - from the rather amusing sight of a fat girl on a trampoline to the gay boy by the pool who had a face like an evil cartoon dog, if anyone remembers "Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds", we were sharing a hotel with a gay boy with the cunningly evil face of Cardinal Richelieu!!

I got back to London on thursday night, It was quite lovely to sleep in my own bed, i spent most of friday doing mounds of washing. The rest of the weekend was pretty drunken with a few beers on friday with my mates Pete and Tony, a lil afternoon session with chris, will, dave, charlotte and ruth and then off to richmond for amy's birthday and a bucketload of rose wine!

Yesterday i woke up feeling pretty special but the show must go on and i had a rehearsal to get to. No i am not doing hamlet, cabaret or disney on ice. I had to get to my friend kaz's house in islington to start rehearsing our dance number for pete's 40th birthday party in November. All i can say is that we are dancing to Madonna, there are outfts involved and as Madonna would say "it will blow the roof off the fucker!" After much sweating and aching legs we decided a drink and bingo were in order so off we popped to meet pete and robbie for gay bingo at the tea rooms in Shoreditch. I wish i could describe what happened but its all too random, it involved a naked man putting about 12 dresses on and then ramming a lampshade onto his head and falling into a table of drinks before shouting at the numbers far too quickly - we only lasted one game before schizophrenia set in. i highly recommend it!

Right people, Must get on! Take care of yourselves and i shall be back soon.
