Well here's to you Iris Robinson, Jesus loves you more than us homo's - oh oh oh

For those of you not regularly checking the gay news, Iris Robinson is a Northern Ireland Unionist Politician, she is married to first minister Peter Robinson and has been in the news over the last few months for opening her mouth (that frankly could fit a kebab in sideways) and blurting out verbal crap on god and the gays!!



It all started last month following a homophobic attack on a gay man in the area, Mrs Robinson was a guest on BBC Radio Ulster, while condemning the attack she said "I have a very lovely psychiatrist who works with me in my offices and his Christian background is that he tries to help homosexuals - trying to turn away from what they are engaged in" she went onto say "I'm happy to put any homosexual in touch with this gentleman and I have met people who have turned around and become heterosexuals." Mrs Robinson claimed that homosexuality was an "abomination" and it made her feel "sick" and "nauseous". In a subsequent interview following criticism of her comments, Mrs Robinson defended her views and denied prejudice against homosexuals, saying that "just as a murderer can be redeemed by the blood of Christ, so can a homosexual.... If anyone takes issue, they're taking issue with the word of God."

Just when you thought that was enough... On 17th June speaking in a Northern Ireland Grand Committee session on "Risk Assessment and Management of Sex Offenders", Mrs Robinson asserted that “There can be no viler act, apart from homosexuality and sodomy, than sexually abusing innocent children”

I know I should not let such out of touch madness get to me but the fact is this "woman" is an elected member of parliament and is spouting this rubbish in an area of the world where religion plays a major part. She goes on record and condemns a homophobic attack when her words of hate could have been used as the reason for the attack in the first place.

Thankfully she is now under investigation for hate crime by the police following these statements.

Onto winehouse watch - she is now out of hospital after apparently accidentally mixing up her medication. Here she is (oh no wait a minute you can barely see her but media whore Max Clifford oops sorry Mitch Winehouse is in shot along with WPC oompa loompa who is either communicating with the enterprise or preparing to give Amy's dad a blowie jo!!




In happy jumpy up and down news - I bought the new Cyndi Lauper album and the new Black Kids album recently and they are both perfect summer records, Cyndi's is the gayest album ever and Black Kids is perfect for the build up to summer festivals
