whats it all about? i dont give a crap!

It's Monday and i am awake! Yes at long last i have managed to have a weekend of relative sobriety! Managed to catch up with Tony, Anna and Pete over the weekend which was all lovely, Only had a slight hangover on sunday which was fed with plenty of food and mammoth mugs of tea.

I was possibly going to go to G-A-Y club on saturday night to see Erasure and Joan Rivers - judging by the reviews on the club's website i am quite glad i didnt go. Apparently Erasure were not that great and Joan didnt realise exactly what she had been booked for.

Why oh why cant i resist reading internet spoilers for my favourite shows!! I now know what happens at the end of the current series of Ugly Betty, I wont share that information on here but lets just say the last episode sounds amazing! The show is getting loads better and the performances are outstanding.

As many of you will know by now i love love love awards shows, so last night i curled up on the sofa to watch the BAFTA TV awards. Graham Norton was hosting and actually did an admirable job - way better than Jonathan Ross at The BAFTA film awards! There were quite a few shocks throughout the night. Casualty beating the major soaps, Liz Smith and Catherine Tate both losing out in the comedy categories, the amazing Planet Earth not winning anything! It was great to see Victoria Wood picking up 2 awards for her exceptional "Housewife 49" drama. The beautiful Richard Armitage presented an award looking gorgeous in his suit and yet still deliciously rugged with his long hair (which is that length whilst he is filming Robin Hood) i did notice that he was sat next to a male peroxide nightmare - does he dance at my end of the ballroom? He keeps his cards very close to his chest regarding relationships which is usually code for secretive bum bandits.]

Really great to see Richard Curtis get the fellowship award! There are bits of his work that i cant stand (Mr Bean!!!) but Blackadder was simply genius, The Vicar of Dibley was always good for a laugh and his films are cheesy but great for a sunday afternoon, of course Richard Curtis is also the founder of Comic Relief which has so far raised over £300 million for projects in the UK and Africa. A great man who simply wants to keep people happy and entertained. His speech was fantastic - praising the overwhelming power of television and saying that if MP's watched more TV they might have more of a clue of what is going on in the world around them, sadly MP's only turn on the TV to watch themselves so no wonder they think everything is so bloody awful! well said!!

I am quietly excited at the news that broke over the weekend - The Spice Girls are rumoured to be back in the recording studio!!! Baby and Ginger spice were papped outside their old producers house in Brighton! Apparently there may well be a reunion at Xmas!

Heard a great new song by Kate Nash at the weekend, it's her new single called "Foundations" - check it out

To cheer up this dreary monday here is a classic Golden Girls clip!!
